Town are still to make their widely reported third bid for striker Franny Jeffers, according to reports in Lancashire. The Blues have had two offers turned down by Blackburn Rovers and were claimed to have made or be on the verge of making a third bid for the former loan striker.

David Wright's first ever Town goal saw the Blues to a 1-1 draw in the East Anglian derby at Carrow Road. The home side started the stronger and Dickson Etuhu put them in front on four, but as the game wore on Town got on top, Wright netting his goal in the 61st minute.

Boss Jim Magilton was pleased with Town's first half display but less so with his team's performance after the break. Plymouth manager Ian Holloway was fuming after the game due to Mathias Doumbe's early red card and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake's disallowed second half goal.

Mathias Doumbe's 78th second red card assisted Town's progress towards a 3-0 victory over Plymouth. After Doumbe's dismissal for a professional foul on Jon Walters, Owen Garvan and Alan Lee put the Blues into a comfortable lead. Late on, Danny Haynes netted a third, Town's 4,000th league goal.
